Learn & Create
All About Rousseau - Pottery Painting
Friday, September 13th
11AM - 12PM
"Henri Rousseau was born on May 21, 1844, in Laval, France. While working as a toll collector in Paris, he taught himself to paint and exhibited his work from 1886 until the end of his life."
Join in on the fun of a LEARN & CREATE session for homeschoolers. We will learn about Henri Rousseau, and then create our own interpretation of "Naive" style art.
Your child will also get to go behind the scenes at Big Dog Pots and will learn and participate in the process to fire their creations.
We will be using a water color method in a varied palette to create our masterpieces on a 6" x 6" handing tile. Perfect for a bedroom, powder room, or anywhere in your home where a pop of color would be just the thing.
PSSST: These would also make a perfect holiday gift for the special people on your child's list.
Pieces will remain at the Studio for firing. We will contact you approximately 2 weeks after the session.
#### Please NOTE ####
This session is open to Students of all ages. A second session is being offered specifically for Students in grades 5 and UP. To register for that session please see our other listing.
Big Dog Pots is a fully accessible art studio. If needed, we have a handicapped ramp across the front of our building with entrance through our front side door. The Studio also has 2 fully handicapped accessible bathrooms on our first level.
If your child has special needs, please feel free to contact us so that we can be sure to make your child's experience fun and positive :).
