Working on the wheel is an fun and "messy" experience. Your child will be introduced to the basics of working on the Potter's Wheel. We will cover wedging clay, centering, throwing cylinders and bringing up walls. This is a great session for children who have expressed an interest in giving the wheel a try.
Price includes materials, instructions, and firings.
First-time wheel throwers experience high loss rates due to air bubbles, participants should be mature enough to accept limited outcomes. Dress to get muddy, we provide full-length aprons. Make sure to wear shoes that can get dirty; no heels or open-toed shoes. Pieces will undergo a lengthy drying process to improve overall outcomes. We will call you when your pieces are ready for pick-up. We have a 90 day pick-up policy after which the pieces are used at the discretion of the studio.
